In the Event Viewer you can receive messages from a source of SPIMsg that include WSAECONNREFUSED in the text. WSAECONNREFUSED is a TCP error returned by the TCP/IP stack. The full definition of WSAECONNREFUSED is:
Connection refused. No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it. This usually results from trying to connect to a service that is inactive on the foreign host.
This error is almost always caused by a firewall. SureSync uses the port range of 9002-9033. Please confirm that this port range is allowed through all firewalls involved in the synchronization environment. In addition, if you have the Windows Firewall enabled on the machine reporting the error you should configure an exception to allow SPIAgentService.exe through the Windows Firewall.
