Images belong to an author, not an organization. The author controls who can access the images.
Members have their own Image library. Their login account provides access to their library. The images belong to the author and cannot be deleted by an organization.
Organizations use images on their website in galleries, posts, and in competitions. These are just links to the images in the author's Image Library. An organization can delete the links to the images but they cannot delete the images themselves.
A person may be a member in multiple organizations. They use the same login and Image Library for all organizations.
Images in an Image Library will have their full size images deleted automatically if they are not referenced by a gallery or competition for 90 days. The thumbnail image will remain and the full size image may be uploaded again.
If a member leaves an organization, the links to images in competitions and galleries will remain.
If an organization discontinues their use of the Visual Pursuits service, all links to images will be released. After 90 days, images not referenced by other organizations will be deleted.
Login accounts that are not referenced by any organization are deleted after 90 days.
Organizations can release their links to full size images through a button on a Manage Competitions page. This is generally not needed since organizations have a generous storage allocation.
