When attempting to a Test Connection to a Communications Agent, you receive the following:
You connected to the agent [agentname], but received a error while attempting to parse the path "SyncDesktop.RootPathItem".
Failed the authentication request,
SystemSecurity.Cryptography.CryptographicException: Bad Data
Solution
Launch the SureSync Desktop. From there, expand the Computers node in the left-hand tree view. Click on the machine encountering the issue. Re-enter the username and password for accessing the agent. Click the "Apply" button and then try the "Test Connections to Agent" again. It should now succeed.
